Al Comeaux is Executive Director of Communications for GE Power & Water’s Distributed Power business, a leading provider of power equipment and services. Distributed Power’s product portfolio includes highly efficient industrial aeroderivative gas turbines and reciprocating engines that generate 100 kW to 100 MW of power for numerous industries globally. Headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, Distributed Power employs more than 5,000 people around the world.
Al joined GE in 2010 after 23 years in communications across several sectors. After five years in Washington, D.C., as a congressional press secretary and public relations agency executive, he joined American Airlines in 1992, where he led labor communications, public affairs and financial communications. In 1998, he became director of communications for the airline’s European division, based in London, U.K. In 2000, he joined Travelocity as vice president of public relations and in 2005 he was named senior vice president of corporate communications for Sabre Holdings Corporation. He joined GE as executive director of global communications at GE Aviation and most recently served as executive director of digital marketing at Aviation.
Al earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Louisiana State University. He and his wife Katie have two daughters and live in Cincinnati.
