David C. Keefer is Chief Marketing Officer of GE Power & Water’s Distributed Power, a leading provider of power equipment and services. Distributed Power’s product portfolio includes highly efficient industrial aeroderivative gas turbines and reciprocating engines that generate 200 kW to 100 MW of power for numerous industries globally. Headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, Distributed Power employs more than 4,500 people around the world.
Most recently, David served as managing director of investment strategy at Energy Financial Services (EFS) focused on business development and strategy for the oil & gas, midstream and downstream sectors. He led market due diligence efforts in Europe, Australia & South America as well in all three North American markets for large equity and debt transactions in oil and gas, midstream and power generation. David joined GE and EFS in 2004 from McKinsey & Company where he was a senior expert and engagement manager in the global petroleum practice. He also worked at Atlantic Richfield, where he was China business development manager and strategic planning manager for the US refining and marketing business.

David earned bachelors’ of arts degrees in East Asian studies & business administration from Wittenberg University.  He received an MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) and a master’s of arts from the Johns Hopkins University’s Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies. He is married to Cecilia and has two children, James and Anna, and they live in Cincinnati.
