Jason Cherry is the Chief Financial Officer for GE Power & Water’s Distributed Power, a leading provider of power equipment and services. Distributed Power’s product portfolio includes highly efficient industrial aeroderivative gas turbines and reciprocating engines that generate 100 kW to 100 MW of power for numerous industries globally. Headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, Distributed Power employs about 5,000 people around the world.
A 17-year veteran of GE, Jason started his career on the Financial Management Program at GE Lighting then joined GE’s Corporate Audit Staff. He has held a series of finance roles with increasing responsibility, including CFO roles for GE’s GEnx engine product line and the Mechanical Systems group at GE Aviation Systems. Most recently, Jason led finance for GE Aviation’s Materials Services business, bringing a natural commercial mindset to the role and helping the team develop and execute strategies to drive aftermarket growth.
Jason has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Northeastern University in Boston, Mass. He and his wife have three children and lives in Mason, Ohio.
